I was waiting at the bus stop, when a man flagged a cab. Just as he was about to get in, a woman yelled from across the street.
“Where are you headed?”
The man replied hesitantly, “ I’m going downtown.”
The women smiled, “Me too. Want to share the cab ride?”
“Sure,” the man said quietly as he got in the cab and waited for the women to get in.
She could have gotten scared when he was hesitated, but she didn’t. He could have said no and she would have been just fine, but things went her way and she got to work faster and saved money in the process.
Oftentimes it is easier than we think. Everything, and I do mean everything, is here to support our life, our growth, and our most abundant existence. Sometimes, all we have to do is ask and find ourselves pleasantly surprised by the answer.
Make the ask. Celebrate your courage. Trust that the answer is always right.
